Shed roof dormers with seats or book shelves add a touch of "real country" to this plan, F-2540. But, you can substitute the usual gable dormers or dog houses. The open foyer is raised one riser and is flanked with a rail and supporting columns. This treatment allows the Parlor with its massive fireplace to be an eye opening first impression. Two bedrooms and two baths are to the right of the curving stairway. The plan offers an alternate master bath layout with separate shower and garden tub. Open to the kitchen with a half wall and Dutch door is the utility room with space for sewing or ironing and folding clothes. See the real picture of the this feature in the Country Features. The Country Kitchen is long and the ovens are built into the brick fireplace. Each of the two bedrooms upstairs has its own study. A full bath serves the hall while Bedroom-4 has an alcove half bath. The wide single garage can be expanded for two cars.
